Lamarck
Full-length drama / 3f, 6m
A young American biographer searches for an allegedly insane woman in Paris, the daughter of the pre-Darwinian evolutionary theorist Lamarck. A story told via flashbacks and fantastical theatricality, with cameos from historical luminaries like Ben Franklin and Napoleon Bonaparte, Lamarck is an entertaining exploration of the origin of genius and the ability to change.
Lamarck premiered at Perishable Theatre in Providence, RI, directed by Michael Barron, and received the M. Elizabeth Osborn Award for an Emerging Playwright from the American Theatre Critics Association.
