Kandahar to Canada

The true story of Pulitzer Prize-winning war reporter Paul Watson escorting a girl from Kandahar to attend school in Ottawa amidst Taliban death threats. This short play is based on transcripts, recordings, and conversations shared between Watson and the playwright. 

Commissioned by the International Writing Program at University of Iowa, and presented at University of Iowa as directed by Carol MacVey. Professional premiere in the Ensemble Studio Theatre Marathon of One-Act Plays, directed by Mark Armstrong.
